Just before noon on November 15th, Ambulance 37 and Station 3 were alerted for the PI at Rt 140 and Malcolm Drive. Brush 95 was in the area and picked up the call. Brush 95 was the first arriving unit, confirming the location - Eastbound 140 prior to Malcom Drive and upgrading the PI to multiple patients with one trapped - also requesting a second transport. Engine 33 arrived shortly after Brush 95, stabilzing the car, pulling a handline and begining the rescue. Crews from 95 and 33 worked to remove the driver's door and roof of the car to gain access to the trapped patient. Rescue Squad 9 and Utility 9-1 also responded on the call and assised with flapping the roof and removing the patient. The pt was extricated in approx. 15 minutes. Ambulance 37 transported 2 priority 3's to CHC for evaluation and Paramedic 38 handled 1 priority 2 to the CHC landing pad for transport by Trooper 1 to Shock Trauma. Units began to go in service within the half hour.
