It is with great pride that we congratulate Life Member and Past Chief Donald "Don" Love on his induction into the Carroll County Vol. Emergency Services Hall of Fame on May 20th, 2017 at the Annual Conventions of the CCVESA held at the Union Bride Fire Company.

Don began his life in the fire service in 1974 when he joined the Liberty Road Vol. Fire Department(Life Member). In 1983, he submitted his application and joined the Reese and Community Vol. Fire Company and has been an integral part of the development of many of the younger members. For over 30 years, Don has been an active riding member and continues to be one of the top responders for our department. He holds numerous certifications and specialties to include being a founding member of the county's ATR team in 1994 and spent 27 years as a Career Firefighter/Apparatus Driver in the Baltimore County Fire Department retiring in April of 2012.

For 30 of his 34 years at Reese, Don has been a Line Officer. He has also held other offices and ranks throughout his 34 years of service. They include: 1st VP, 2nd VP, Secretary, Trustee, Chairmen of the Board, Fire Chief, Asst. Fire Chief, Fire Captain, Fire Lieutenant and EMS Lieutenant. Don has also served on numerous apparatus committees which oversaw the purchases of new apparatus throughout the years and continues to be a vital part of our fundraising efforts at our weekly Bingo as the cashier, running the money office at our annual carnival and offering assistance at all of our other functions.

Don has been a mentor and friend to many in our department. He is always willing to share some advice or helping hand to whoever may need it. Don takes great pride in his family as well. Don is married to his wife Linda of 37 years and they are the very proud parents of two sons (both hold the rank of Captain in the United States Marine Corps). He has 4 grandchildren. Don enjoys camping with friends and family and working in his garage during his "spare" time.

Congratulations Don on your induction to the 2016 CCVESA Hall of Fame!
