| At 1506 hrs on February 15th, Medic 99 and Station 9 were alarted for a vehicle collision at Rt. 140 and Suffolk Rd. Medic 99 and Rescue Squad 9 responded on the call. Units arrived to find two vehicles involved. Upon further assessment, it was found that the driver's side of the vehicle would need to be removed to extricate the patient due to their injuries. Rescue Squad 9 established command and upgraded the incident to one trapped. The crew from Rescue Squad 9 worked to stabilize the vehicle and make access by removing the rear driver's side door and the B-post while the medic crew attended to the patient. Crews removed the patient from the vehicle and packaged the patient for transport. Medic 99 transported the patient priority 2 to Sinai. Engine 91 also reponded on the call. Crews completed cleanup and all units were clear within the hour. |
