| At approximately 1350 hrs on Friday, April 20th, Station 9 and Medic 99 were dispatched to a vehicle collision in front of the Maryland State Police barracks on Rt 140. Shortly after dispatch, Rescue Squad 9 was added to the assignment for the "now reported rescue."
Rescue Squad 9 and Medic 99 arrived simultaneously to find three vehicles with four patients with one patient trapped. The crew from Rescue Squad 9 stabilized the vehicle of the trapped victim and began extrication. The patient was easily extricated and placed on a backboard. The crew from Engine 91 assisted with patient care. Three of the four patients were transported to area hospitals with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Units operated on the scene for approximately 30 minutes before returning to service. |
