| At approximately 1320 hrs, Station 9 and surrounding companies were alerted for the reported house fire. The initial dispatch had advised that the fire was more specifically located in the kitchen of the home. Duty 9 (Stansbury) called en route shortly followed by Engine 91. Duty 9 had arrived to find a single family split level dwelling with no evidence of a working fire. Upon arrival, crews from Reese, Gamber and Westminster investigated the reported blaze to find that it had already been put out. A small fire on the stove had burned parts of the stove and spread minimally to surrounding cabinets. Crews checked for extension of the fire into the walls and cabinets above the stove. Nothing was found. Command 9 placed all units in service with the exception of Stations 9 and 13. The remaining units ventilated the structure and went back in service within an hour. |
