| On Wednesday evening, Chief Don Love along with his wife Linda attended a dinner at the Finksburg Branch of the Carroll County Public Library System.
This dinner was in conjunction with an annual presentation made to the Library by The Lions Club and the Fire Company. Each year the Lions Club sponsors a bingo event that is held at the Fire Hall and the proceeds go to assisting the local library branch with whatever 'projects' they are currently working on.
This years project is 'The Battle of the Books', which was explained at the dinner in a video presentation by library staff.
Also attending the dinner was Bill Fourhman and his wife Marion and he was thanked for his assistance. Bill is the 'bingo caller' for this event and also many other events, along with our weekly bingo at Reese Fire Company. Bill is a 63 year member of the Fire Company and we also thank him for all that he does and has done for our Company.
The Reese Fire Company would also like to thank the Roaring Run Lions Club for the great partnership that we have shared and continue to share through the years. |
