Around 9am, units from Co. 3 (PM38 and Engine 31) and Rescue Squad 9 were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover in the area of Rt. 140 and N. Center St. Rescue Squad 9 responded with 3 personnel utilizing Capt. 9-1 for staffing, who also responded on the call. Units from Co. 3 and Capt. 9-1(Stansbury) arrived to find a 2 vehicle collision with 1 on it's roof on top of several parked cars. Crews confirmed 1 patient still in the vehicle. Engine 31's crew began to stabilize the vehicle while PM38's crew began an initial assessment of the patient. Capt. 9-1 assumed the command and upon the arrival of Rescue Squad 9, crews completed stabilizing the vehicle and removed the passenger side door. The patient was packaged and assessed and eventually transported Pri 2 to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for evaluation and crews from both Co. 3 and Rescue Squad 9 cleared a short time later. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured. Great job and teamwork by all personnel involved.
