The rumors were true-- "WE BOUGHT AN ENGINE TANKER!!"

The Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company is excited to announce the purchase of a 2006 Pierce Enforcer Engine Tanker! While she's not yet ready to be placed into service, Engine Tanker 9-4 (as it will be known), will bring 2,000 gallons of water to fire scenes when responding to calls. (We are hoping to place it into service by March 1st- maybe before)

Despite being in the midst of a global pandemic, our Membership made the decision to make the purchase due to the lack of water sources in our box area- (Reese only has water hydrants in one of our first due box areas, which is located on Rt 140 in Westminster near the landfill) meaning that water needs to be brought to the scene from another source. Engine Tanker 9-4 will greatly assist our volunteers in both offensive and defensive fire fighting when needed.

If one life or one home is saved- it was worth the investment by our Fire Company to purchase this piece of apparatus! Stay tuned for updates!!
