RVFC responds to Large Garage Fire in 9-6 Box

At 12:23 PM the Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to the 3200 block of Murray Road in Finksburg in a 9-6 Box.

Chief 9-1 was first to arrive on scene to find heavy firing showing from a 40x60 one story gargage. Working Fire Dispatch was called for by Chief 9.

The building was being used for vehicle repair and had several vehicles inside, and the roof fell onto the vehicles and tires. The fire was deemed under control by 2:00 PM.

Reese VFC Apparatus C9, C91, Utility 91, ET94, Medic98, and Brush95 and approximately 56 firefighters from Reese and surrounding Companies - Gamber E131, ET133, Reisterstown E412, Glyndon T404, Westminster T3, Upperco ET851, and Maryland State Fire Marshal responded.

The water source was a 10,000 gallon tank on Murray Road at Eagle Transfer Services, LLC. Approximately 20,000 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire.
