On January 20 2022, the Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company lost a friend, mentor, and colleague when Robert "Bobby" Jones passed away in the Line of Duty, while serving the citizens of Carroll County, MD. For over 40 years Bobby dedicated his life to the fire service as both a career and volunteer firefighter, paramedic, and engineer in Carroll, Baltimore, and Anne Arundel Counties. His death marked the first LODD for Reese VFC.

The Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company has partnered with Hogs and Heroes Foundation, MD-Chapter 6 to host the Inaugural Robert "Bobby" Jones Memorial Ride on Saturday, June 4th. The ride starts and ends at Reese VFC and is open to all motorcycles and trikes.

Registration opens from 9 AM until 11 AM. A safety briefing and "Blessing of the Bikes" will follow with Kick Stands Up at 11:30 AM. Riders will follow a guided route which will be supported by Law Enforcement and Fire Department personnel. The ride is continuous movement, so we expect traffic to have only minor disruptions.

Following the ride, riders are encouraged to stay for Food, Beverage, Raffles, 50/50's and more.

Riders are asked to "pre-register" so that we can get an idea of participation level for logistics. There is no fee due at the time of pre-registration. https://www.reesevfc.org/content/ride/

All proceeds from this event benefit the "Robert Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund" at Reese VFC.
