The Reese Volunteer Fire Company has proudly served our community for generations—but just one year after our incorporation, something special began.

In 1949, the very first Reese Carnival was held at Sandymount Elementary School.

What started as a simple community gathering quickly became something much more.

Over the years, the Reese Carnival has grown into a beloved summer tradition—bringing together families, friends, and neighbors for nights filled with food, games, rides, and connection. For many in our community, it’s more than just an event—it’s a memory that spans generations.

Grandparents who once attended as children now bring their grandchildren. Volunteers who grew up walking the carnival grounds now help run it. And year after year, the spirit of community continues to grow stronger.

But at its core, the purpose has always remained the same.

The Reese Carnival exists not only as a time of celebration, but as a way for the community to come together in support of their volunteer fire company. Every visit, every meal, every game played helps support the men and women who are committed to serving and protecting Reese and the surrounding areas.

As we look ahead to this year’s carnival, we do so with gratitude—for where we started, for the generations who have supported us, and for the community that continues to make it all possible.

We invite you to be part of that tradition.
