| Today, we recognize the volunteers who make Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company what it is.
Volunteer service takes many forms here.
It’s answering the call when the tones drop. It’s hours spent training and maintaining skills. It’s Fire Police helping keep a scene safe. It’s working a fundraiser, preparing food, staffing an event, serving on a committee, maintaining the station, and taking care of the countless things behind the scenes that allow our company to serve this community.
It’s giving up evenings, weekends, holidays, family time, and sometimes a good night’s sleep—not because anyone has to, but because our members have chosen to serve.
And we are fortunate to do that work alongside our Carroll County career Fire & EMS personnel as one team serving our community.
Today, on National Volunteer Firefighter Recognition Day, we simply want to say thank you to every Reese volunteer—past and present—who has answered the call in whatever way their service has taken.
