| Earlier this week, our members came together for our September monthly drill, focusing on skills that can make a critical difference on the fireground.
Members worked on search techniques and reviewed emergency procedures for situations in which a firefighter falls through a floor during a fire incident.
Training for situations we hope never happen is an important part of being prepared when they do. Practicing these skills gives our firefighters the opportunity to work through the procedures, reinforce good habits, and build the teamwork needed to respond quickly when one of our own is in trouble.
Regular training keeps our skills sharp, strengthens our team, and helps us operate as safely and effectively as possible when the call comes.
