By 2nd Vice President Matt Stansbury
December 6, 2008

As the snow began to fall late Saturday afternoon, PM99 and Rescue 9 were dispatched for a vehicle collision at Rt. 140 and Wildorlyn Dr. PM99 was the first to arrive and advised 5 cars with one over the embankment. Rescue 9 arrived a short time later and established command. C13-1(Green) arrived and assumed command and crews went to work with the Stokes Basket to remove the occupant of the vehicle over the embankment. While evaluating that patient, another patient began having neck pain. IVT 139 was dispatched to assist. PM99 obtained a refusal and returned to service while IVT139 transported one priority 3 to CHC for check-up. A short time later, crews began to clean up and return to service.
