On the afternoon of January 26th at 2:54 p.m., Rescue 9 was alerted to assist Westminster FD units with a vehicle collision with entrapment on Route 27 at Lone Tree Dr. First arriving units found that a minivan and an S.U.V. had hit head on in the roadway, with the drivers of both vehicles being entrapped. Rescue 9 was assigned to extrication of the patient in the S.U.V. and Rescue Squad 6 was assigned the minivan. After extrication the driver of the S.U.V. was transported to Carroll Hospital Center and the driver of the minivan was flown to Shock Trauma. Rescue 9 returned to quarters at 4:11 p.m.
