| We were touched to have two special guests join us during the opening of the Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company Membership Meeting on Tuesday, March 1st.
Dale Barnes, a long time supporter of Reese VFC, made a generous donation to assist us in the establishment of the Robert A. "Bobby" Jones Memorial Scholarship. Mr. Barnes also made a substantial donation to our Fulton County Fire Engine Donation in December that was then matched by the Auxiliary!
Additionally Joe Brown, a Nurse at Carroll Hospital Center (who in his past profession was a Baltimore County Fire Department Battalion Chief and retired after 34+ yrs of service) joined us and brought a proclamation on behalf of President Garrett Hoover and the Staff of CHC in recognition of Bobby's dedicated service to the Community. Carroll Hospital Center also made a generous donation to the Scholarship Fund in Bobby's memory.
We can not thank Mr. Barnes, Mr. Brown and Carroll Hospital Center for their kindness and generosity in supporting Bobby's Scholarship Fund- a way for us to honor his legacy and continue mentoring the next generation!
Both Mr. Barnes and Mr. Brown were presented with Reese VFC leather helmet sheilds as small tokens of our appreciation. |
