| 🚒 ❄️ Winter isn’t done with us yet — so we’re making sure we’re ready.
Last night, members of Reese & Community Volunteer Fire Company trained on the ice at Westminster Community Pond alongside neighboring departments. Crews practiced self-rescue techniques and victim rescues, working scenarios with rescuers operating both in and out of the water.
Ice rescue situations are rare — but when they happen, preparation matters. Training like this ensures that when the unexpected occurs, our team is ready to respond safely and effectively.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to train alongside Gamber Volunteer Fire Company, Manchester Volunteer Fire Department, and Westminster Volunteer Fire Department. Strong partnerships make stronger responses.
🚒 Interested in serving your community and participating in specialized rescue training like this? We’re always looking for committed individuals ready to make a difference.
